We see possibilities where others see constraints.

We approach each project with curiosity and clarity — balancing design ambition, practical realities and the complexities of building to create spaces that feel considered, purposeful and distinctly their own.

Our Story

ArchiZ grew from a simple belief: good architecture should work beautifully in the real world. What began with residential alterations and carefully resolved consent work gradually developed into an independent design practice shaped by real sites, real constraints and the people who live with the spaces we create.

Every project has taught us something different. Some begin with an existing home that no longer works for the way a family lives. Others start with a difficult site, an unconventional idea, or a building that needs to be carefully rethought. We enjoy finding clarity within those constraints — balancing design ambition with planning, building regulations, construction and the realities of budget.

Today, ArchiZ works across residential design, alterations, additions and selected community and commercial projects. We stay closely involved from the early design thinking through documentation and consent, working alongside clients, builders and consultants to keep the original idea connected to what can actually be built.

For us, architecture is not about making every project look the same. It is about understanding what is already there, what needs to change, and finding a thoughtful response that belongs to its place and to the people who will use it.
